Positive Psychology courses are helping people feel happier, more relaxed and effective in achieving their life goals.

Thinking straight will show you how to feel better by learning how to manage your thinking. Becoming mindful of the nature of our thoughts provides the opportunity to weed out those that are unrealistic or counterproductive and cultivate positive thoughts to support your life goals. thinking straight is suitable for people who feel pessimistic, get upset easily or worry too much. If you are looking for ways to better manage your emotions this course will teach you effective tools to get you back in the charge of your life. “I wish I had learned this when I was in school” commented a 55 year old man who took this course.

Chill pill is a wonderfully enjoyable relaxation class. Three techniques of easy relaxation skills are taught. Starting with diaphragmatic breathing, we extend body mindfulness with dynamic muscle relaxation. Once fully relaxed, participants will be taken on a guided visualization using self-hypnosis techniques. chill pill is suitable for people with chronic tension, chronic pain, short temper, depression or anxiety. Learn some skills to manage emotional arousal and enjoy the opportunity to really chill out. Bring a pillow and yoga mat.

Sustainable happiness introduces the recent discoveries from the field of Positive Psychology on how to find your happiness and then how to cultivate it. You can increase your life’s pleasures, enhance your relationships and sense of life purpose. sustainable happiness will teach you how to use your personal strengths, build resilience and develop skills of optimism. This introductory course outlines the psychological theories of happiness and teaches evidence-based techniques to enhance your positive emotions and create a flourishing life.

Fees: thinking straight course is $160(+gst); chill pill course is $100(+gst); sustainable happiness course is $160(+gst)
Course fees are payable to Bangalow Psychology at the start of the course. Medicare rebates require a GP referral and are claimable at the end of the course. All courses are taught by Psychologist Suellen Donnelly at Bangalow Psychology.
